Why are some wigs more costly than others?Quality determines price: the better the quality the higher the price. There are many types of fibers and textures of hair that adds to or decreases the value of a wig.
How do I choose a color for me?Colors tend to be off matched when viewed on a computer due to various color hues and tones. We have a color chart listed by color numbers and names. You can always send in a hair sample and we will try to match your color.
How do I know what size wig to order?Most people wear an average size wig, but wigs have size adjustments inside of wig cap. Custom wigs can be ordered to fit the wearer.
How do I put on my wig?A wig has two tabs, one over each ear. The tabs must be centered in front of each ear and the wig should rest right at your natural hairline.
How do I shampoo my wig and how often?Wash your wig after 10 to 15 wears, depending on your environment (smoking, etc.). Gently pick or comb through wig, wet wig completely with cold water, work shampoo in and let lather remain on wig for about five minutes. Will wearing a wig damage my own hair?No, but not taking care of your own hair may cause damage. Shampoo and condition your own hair at least once a week.
Can I cook with my wig on?Wigs cannot be exposed to heat sources such as blow-dryers, hair-dryers, clothes-dryer, steam irons, oven, etc. Prolonged exposure to any such heat source will cause your wig to frizz up and or burn damage and you will have to purchase a new wig.
Can I use regular hair products on my wig?We recommend wig care products formulated for synthetic or human hair wigs. Some hair products have lanolin which can be too heavy for your wig and can cause damage.
Why do I need to wear a wig cap?Wearing a wig cap may be more comfortable and secure for those with longer hair or just for a smoother fit.
Can I return a wig?We have a NO RETURN POLICY, due to State & Federal Regulations on the Sale of Hair. You would not purchase a wig knowing some one else had worn it first. Scalp disorders and diseases are prevalent and should not be taken lightly so under no circumstance do we accept returns. Be leery of websites, venders, and salons that freely take returns. So choose carefully.
Is human hair better than synthetic?It is a personal choice. Synthetic wigs are easier to maintain and are less expensive than human hair wigs. Human hair wigs have more styling versatility and can be custom styled and colored depending on the quality of wig.
When should I buy a wig if I'm under chemo treatment?When undergoing chemo treatment you should buy a wig before hair loss so that the hair specialist can become familiar with your present hairstyle and color.
What are mono wigs?Mono wigs have natural skin appearance on the crown of the wig. These wigs are created by hand-knotting each graft of hair individually into a fine mesh material causing it to be lighter in weight and have great ventilation.
Why are tape and tabs used on wigs?There are double sided stickers on the inside of the cap of the wig allowing the wig to be temporarily bonded to the scalp, keeping it in place. Tape tabs are also used on scalps that have been shaven or that have become bald from alopecia.
Do I need more than one wig?We recommend getting at least two expensive wigs if you are going to wear a wig for several months, this way the wearer is never without a wig for any period or time, even when one is getting serviced or cleaned.
Will my insurance pay for my wig?Wig prices range from less than $100.00 to over $1,000.00. Some insurance companies will cover 80% or more of the wig cost if wigs are needed because of medical reasons; the purchase of a wig for medical reasons maybe tax deductible so save all your receipts.
